Educational Services
Our programs allows individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to focus on building personal skills through active treatment. The program assists our clients to achieve their personal goals and desires through education, pre-vocational training, assistance with personal care, and community integration.
The Educational Services Program runs from 9:30am-2:30pm, Monday–Friday with several holidays off each year.
Academic Opportunities
Clients who choose to participate may learn math, reading, science, social skills, art, history, and current events.
Life Skills Training
Clients learn social skills, personal care skills, cooking, and independent learning. Each person learns what is specific to their needs.
Health Education
Clients learn healthy cooking, good eating options, fitness and exercise. Each person is encouraged to take these skills and use them throughout their daily lives.
Community Access Opportunities
Clients are encouraged to take part in shopping trips, going out to lunch, classes at the YMCA for fitness, museum trips, visits to parks, and many other activities.
Special Events
Clients take part in various special events. For example: pet therapy, music concerts, demonstrations, square dancing, picnics and various speakers.
